Map: Westerville East Route

This map leads you from the Westerville CRC to Hoover Reservoir, heading east.

Want to access this map from your Google Maps app? Click the icon in the upper right corner of the map below, and you can follow along via Google Maps throughout the route.

Written directions:

  1. From the shop, turn right onto Home Road.
  2. After about a quarter mile you will run into the bike path.  Take a left (north) onto the bike path.
  3. Just before the first mile you will cross County Line road.  Shortly thereafter you can take a 90-degree turn to the right to head east.  Take it!
  4. There some occasional spurs off of this bike path—but in general you want to continue heading “straight” as the bike path takes you.  No more 90-degree turns unless you have to!
  5. Shortly after heading east you will pass a park on the left, with basketball courts and baseball diamonds.  You will come to a fork where you must turn left or right.  Take a right to head east.
  6. At the two mile mark, cross Birch Street to continue on the path.
  7. Just after mile 3, and after your cross Lawrence Road, you will run around a lake on your right, after which the path will fork left or right.  You want to turn left here.
  8. The bike path will “dead end” at Sunbury Road.  Take a right here and you are still on the bike path—though it switches from asphalt to concrete here.
  9. After passing College Avenue on your right you will come to Marlene Drive.  Take a right here and you will circle clockwise as the path takes you under Sunbury Road.
  10. Continue South on the path along Hoover Reservoir until it stops at Central College Road.
  11. Turn right, crossing Sunbury Road, and follow the path towards Inniswood Gardens Metro Park.
  12. You'll exit the path into the Inniswood parking lot.  Follow the lot until you exit the park on the westside.
  13. Turn right on the bike path as you exit the park.  Follow this until you reach Walnut Street.
  14. Turn left on the bike path along Walnut.  Take this to Highlands Park.
  15. Enter Highlands Park and loop the park on the bike path.
