Walk & Run 101: Beginner Training Program
Start your new year off on the right foot by joining the Columbus Running Company’s Walk & Run 101 program.
If you've ever dreamt of finishing that first 5K, we're here to help you every step of the way. If you used to run or walk and it's time to make a comeback, come share some miles with us. Either way, let's get moving!
Walk & Run 101 is a two month program designed to get you started with a walk or run routine, with an eye towards finishing a 5K at the end of the season. First, we'll host an initial kick-off clinic where our coaches will lay out the training plan for you. There, we'll cover the basics of form, nutrition, hydration, and more. Then, on Saturday mornings at 8am, you can join the fun at weekly coach-led trainings. Additionally, each week you will receive coaching emails that will cover a variety of topics to further assist in your training and keep you motivated. With all of this personal assistance, CRC’s Walk & Run 101 is not your typical “couch to 5K” program.
The cost of the CRC Walk & Run 101 program is $50 until January 18; $60 after January 18. For this fee you receive the following:
- Race entry for the Choo Choo 5K
- CRC tech training shirt
- Weekly coach-led training
- Weekly coaching emails
- CRC giftcard
- Race day support
- Meeting new people with a common goal
- The satisfaction of a job well done!
