I’m having Pain…How Can Orthopedic ONE Help?

Congratulations, you’ve made it over halfway through the CRC Quarter, Half and Full Marathon Training Program! At this point in the program as your miles begin to ramp up, sometimes new injuries occur or old issues begin to start creeping up again. With this in mind, we thought this would be a perfect time to give you a quick refresher course on the Healthy Roster app and Sports Medicine Hotline features available to all CRC Training Program participants.

HEALTHY ROSTER

Healthy Roster is a FREE web based app that allows athletes and coaches to virtually connect with an Orthopedic ONE Sports Medicine Provider via messaging or video/audio call. When you have an injury to be evaluated or have questions regarding an injury; you can contact a Sports Medicine Provider via the Healthy Roster app. It can help you avoid unnecessary urgent care or emergency room visits, by directly talking with a Sports Medicine Provider from your running course, on the go or from the comfort of your home.

So how does it work? We’ll take you through the process step by step, help is only one tap away!

App Messaging Approach

Step 1: Download the app here and register using the unique CRC Code: O1CRC

 

Step 2: Click on your athlete profile

Step 3: Click “Add a new injury”

Step 4: Create an injury by filling in injury details. Example:  lower leg pain or shin splints

Step 5: Add additional details. Helpful information includes: history about your injury; how and when it occurred. You can also use this field to ask any additional questions you may have.

Step 6: An Orthopedic ONE Sports Medicine Provider will promptly respond to your inquiry.

 

Phone Call Approach

Step 2: Click “Contact an Athletic Trainer”

Step 3: Click box titled “Call an Athletic Trainer”

Step 4: Wait for an Orthopedic ONE Sports Medicine Provider to answer your call. If a provider is unavailable at that time, you call will be returned promptly. Calls have the ability to be audio only or video.

If you are still unsure about using the Healthy Roster app, there is another alternative, the Orthopedic ONE Sports Medicine Hotline. If you have experienced an injury that does not require immediate attention, would like to schedule an injury consultation or if you have general questions regarding sports medicine care, contact our Sports Injury Hotline. The Orthopedic ONE Certified Athletic Trainer on call will receive messages 7 days a week, and will return calls between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

This service provides a no cost consultation with an Orthopedic ONE Certified Athletic Trainer. Should an appointment with a physician be required, traditional patient visit costs do apply.
