CRC A.T. FAQ

CRC A.T. Overview      Training      Racing      Teams      Registration

You've got questions, we've got answers:

  • Q: What is CRC Advanced Training?
  • A: CRC A.T. is a training program tailored towards experienced, race-focused runners who are chasing time goals.

  • Q: Who can take part in CRC A.T.?
  • A: Anyone with running experience and a time goal can take part within the program. This is a program for the runner who actively works to earn that next PR, who enjoys pushing to the limits with speed workouts, and who is willing to sweat their way towards becoming a better racer.

  • Q: What races does the program focus on?
  • A: We'll provide you with training plans for 5k, 10k, the half marathon, and the marathon. You can choose your own races from there - but we'll be using select local races as club events. We highly encourage you to take part in these as it's easier to run fast times when we're all on the same starting line, ready to push one another to our best. As a member of CRC A.T., you will receive discounted entry into our key races.

  • Q: When do the group runs take place?
  • A: You have several options throughout the week, all listed here. We use the CRC Saturday morning runs and the CRC weekday speed workouts. For those who can maintain a 7 minute/mile pace & faster, we also use the CRC Elite Sunday runs. Training runs take place all year.

  • Q: How do I get my training plan and singlet?
  • A: Once you register, we'll send you a confirmation email. This will include access to the training plans. As you register, you'll also select a "home team" location, and we'll have your CRC singlet available for pickup from that location. Again, we'll email you once that singlet is ready for pickup.

  • Q: Is there a specific start date to the program?
  • A: You can start at any time. The sooner you join, the sooner you can take advantage of the race discounts and other perks.

  • Q: How long does the program last?
  • A: CRC A.T. operates on an annual schedule.  When you register, your membership is good until the start of the next calendar year.

  • Q: What if I like the team aspect but don't need a training plan? Or I like the plans, but I don't need the team support? Or I can't make the group runs? Or...
  • A: That's a lot of questions, but they all get to the same thing. Yes, you can take a la carte from the program. Use the portions of the program that give your running a boost. Disregard the parts of the program that don't make sense for you. We're here to help make you faster, however we can.

  • Q: How do I get my discounted race entries?
  • A: For the majority of the races, your discount is automatically included when you register for each race. The CRC A.T. registration is run through an online platform called RunSignUp, and this same platform is used as the online registration portal for the Choo Choo 9 Miler, Columbus 10k, Mile Dash, Pickerington 5 Miler, and Big Bad Wolfe. Once you're a member of CRC A.T., RunSignUp will recognize you as you register for those events, and your discount will be automatically applied. The only discounted race that will work differently is the Cap City Half Marathon. When you register for the program, we'll share a discount coupon code that you can use to register for this one.

  • Q: Who can use my race discounts?
  • A: Race discounts are for members only and cannot be transferred to another race registrant.
