Westerville Central's McKenna Fry is having one solid senior year. Her resume highlights for the year include:
We caught up with the superstar senior to see what makes her tick as she prepares for the outdoor track season.
CRC: What are some of your goals for the season?
McKenna: My team goal is to be district champs. My main individual goal is to break 5:00 in the mile and get on the podium at states for the 1600 and 4x800.
CRC: What is one of your favorite track & field memories?
McKenna: I would definitely say 4x8 states in 2016. It was the first time my teammates and I made it to states. What really made it so special is that we placed third in the state.
CRC: What is a silly tradition that you and your teammates have?
McKenna: We all love to jam to music and braid each other's hair before meets.
CRC: What is your favorite pre-race pump-up song?
McKenna: My favorite song right now is "Lemon," but I like to listen to anything that has a good beat.
CRC: Do you go by any good nicknames?
McKenna: Most of my friends call me Kenna.
CRC: You trained at the Myers Running Camp over the summer. Any favorite Myers Camp memories?
McKenna: Getting in teams and meeting new people that love to run just like me. I really enjoyed Myers Running Camp and would recommend it to all high school runners.
CRC: So who was your favorite Myers Camp counselor?*
McKenna: My top two were Rachel and Carly <img class="CToWUd" src="https://mail.google.com/mail/e/1f600" alt="
