Personalized training is the way to take your running to the next level. Here, Chad explains his history with running and why he's excited to return to coaching.

My training philosophy has been formed from 20+ years of my own competitive running experiences, as well as nine years of coaching experience at every level of the sport.
As a competitor, I attended Otterbein College and ran for the school’s cross country and track teams. A few notable accomplishments from my time as a Cardinal include:
- serving as co-captain of the cross country team from 1993-95
- qualifying for cross country nationals in 1994 and 1995
- winning the conference title in the 10,000 meters in 1996
- winning the All-Ohio title in the 10,000 meters in 1994
After college, I competed in local and national road races and qualified for the 2017 Boston Marathon. My personal bests are 31:18 for 10K, 15:10 for 5K and 2:47 for the marathon.
My earlier coaching career included working with athletes at both the high school and collegiate level. As a coach at Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster, I had the honor of coaching four individual state titles (Rob Myers: cross country state champ, 1600-meter state champ, and 800-meter state champ; and Chris Millisor: 1600-meter state champ) and one national title in the 800 meters (Rob Myers). After leaving Fairfield Union, I was the assistant cross country and track coach at the Ohio State University. There, I was lucky to work with All-Big Ten athletes and NCAA regional qualifiers from 800 meters to 5,000 meters.
I have also worked with my brother, Rob Myers, during the final couple years of his professional running career for Saucony. Rob competed as a miler with a personal best of 3:53 in the mile and a 3:34 in the 1500 meter, and was a three-time indoor national champion in the 1500 meter and two-time World Championship team member in the 1500 meter.
As a runner and coach, I firmly believe in the product of hard work while also realizing the results that can come from working too hard. With my 20+ years of experience in the running community, we can work together to achieve your goals through smart, strategic training.

I was referred to Chad Myers from others in the running community, so I asked him if he would take over for me as I’d crashed and burned a few times at my own hands. I went from running my first marathon on a dare to finishing 6th overall in the Columbus Marathon and 9th overall in the Arizona Rock N' Roll marathon as a master’s runner. I not only set master’s PRs in the marathon, but in the mile, 5K, 10k, 15K, and half marathon distances as well.
Chad takes into consideration all facets of your training as well as variables (such as family commitments or work schedules) to allow you to not to worry about anything other than doing what is on your schedule. As someone that had been away for running for a long period of time, I looked to Chad for guidance when getting back started running again.
