To outside observers, that doesn't come as a surprise. It seems as though the Davidson teams magically find their way to the top every year. To those within the program, they know that there's no magic to it. The Wildcats reach the top through a program that stresses hard work, team unity, and a growth mindset. Runners at Davidson don't settle. They improve. A lot.
Junior Matt Duvall has led the state ranked Pickerington North XC team all season long. Last year, he finished 23rd at the state cross country meet and 7th in the 3200m at the state track meet. This year, as the XC post-season continues to heat up, he has even bigger goals.
