Runners, rejoice. An old fan favorite is back and better than ever with the new update to New Balance's 890. This is a lightweight neutral trainer geared towards someone who wants to feel a responsive and cushioned ride. The heel-to-toe drop in the shoe is 6mm. The 890 runs a little bit snug in the toes, so trying your normal size to half-size up is recommended.
The newest features of the shoe include:
1) TPU pieces under the forefoot to provide an extra oomph in your step and move naturally with your foot. This motion gives a slight rock to your step and works to move as efficiently as possible.
2) an all mesh upper without seams to reduce possible irritations while maintaining a light as air feeling.
Comparable shoes to the new 890 would be others in the lightweight neutral category. These include the adidas Boston, Saucony Kinvara, Brooks Launch, or Hoka Cavu. Check out the 890v6 in all the CRC shops now!
