April 2008 Tat of the Month

Thom Whitham - Tribal Wings, KY

   These pictures were taken when these tattoos were just minutes old. The unique winged foot design is a combination of Thom's ideas put together by Adam Potts of Acme Ink in Louisville, KY.
   "I finally decided that I should get something that reflects a passion of mine...running is that passion," says Thom. We are the CRC understand. Thom elaborated on his decision.
   "Wings on the feet are typically associated with running, I had to research what type of wings I wanted. I found a couple of designs that I thought were really nice, I took them to Adam and he was able to merge them and create a piece that I absolutely love."
   Despite the fantastic new tat's, there was a downside.
   "The only drawback of the tattoos is that I can not run for about 2 weeks," said Thom. Oh, the misery.
   We believe it was worth it, especially now that you are the latest in the great line of Tat of the Month contest champions!
