September 2009 Tat of the Month

We present to you David Schnell and his ink:

Hey guys, I really wanted a tattoo that involved running and so I ended up on your site looking for inspiration and it helped me to work out this one. It reads, To conquer oneself is more impressive than to conquer others. Then the Kanji symbol for to run is surrounded by the word RUN. I chose that quote because really, running is about bettering yourself and pushing your own limits, not trying to prove you can run faster or longer than your opponent. Running is a huge part of my life and this tattoo just expresses my love and passion for it. If you have time and want an idea about my passion an essay I wrote on running is attached to this email. Some people told me that they liked it so I figured I might as well share it with fellow runners.

By the way, my name is David Schnell and I am just about to enter my senior year of high school at St. Dominic High School in Missouri. Best of luck to you all, and thanks for the inspiration!
