We
don't feel that you can get a better 10k course. It can be a quick
course, but it will keep you honest.
Both the 10k and 3k events start at Coffman High School to provide
runners adequate facilities and to use an Olympic style start and finish.
For the 10k: Start/Finish is on the
Dublin Coffman High School track, and will start with an Olympic style
lap around the track before exiting off the track and onto the track
access road. Through the parking lot, the runners will then head out to
Coffman Rd. and head north, and take a right turn onto Brand Rd. The
Brand Rd. roundabout will turn into Dublin
Rd. Runners will head south on Dublin Rd, taking advantage of the
rolling down hills. Dublin Rd. will take everyone into the center of old
town Dublin. At the intersection of 161, runners will turn right and
head West. Runners will then turn right onto Post Rd. Crossing the I-270
overpass on Post, the runners will continue through the Emerald Parkway
intersection and along Post Rd. to the entry drive to the Dublin Rec.
Center. Turning north into the entry drive, runners will then take
a turn to the left on Coffman Park Rd. As they follow Coffman Park
Rd, runners will loop around the Dublin Rec. Center and will then come
out on Tara Hill Drive. At Tara Hill, runners turn to the right
and follow Tara Hill to Emerald Parkway. Runners then take a left
on Emerald Parkway and loop back into the Coffman High School parking
lot. Following the parking lot perimeter, runners will enter the
Coffman track for the finish.
*Due to time constraints and costs, the 10k is
restricted to runners only. We encourage all walkers to participate in
the 3k!
For the 3k: Start/Finish is on the
track with the 10k. Runners and walkers will head out the same direction
as the 10k route, until a 180 degree turn sends them back to the school.
Runners and walkers will then enter school grounds via the main
entrance. Once on school grounds they will proceed onto the access road
between the baseball fields and track. They will enter the track on the
east side and finish on the track.
