The year of 2010

Columbus 10k!
A grand event hosted by the CRC. CRC men were impressive finishing in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. Josh Ordway led the men in 30:25, three seconds back of winner Julius Kiptoo. His brother Jason Ordway made his CRC jersey debut to finish third in 30:55.  For the ladies, Paige continued her hot streak to finish 6th in 36:27, another PR. The women's was the most competitive event in Columbus 10k history, with the Kara and Tara Storage (Dayton) finishing 1-2 in 34:21.  The men's CRC squad finished first in the team division, while the women were second.     Compete results HERE.

Records fall for CRC during multiple spring events!
It's been a busy spring for team CRC. Our record board is slowly being re-written as the year progresses. Paige Biglin has set multiple PR's this spring, from the mile to the 10k, perhaps most notably her 17:14 5k on the track. The men's squad is off to a fast start, with multiple guys running under 15 minutes for the 5k, including Kaleb Keyserling, Eric Putnam, Levi Fox, Josh Ordway, and Blake Jones. Brandon Bauer lowered his 10k PR to 30:27, and a few weeks later debuted in the marathon for a win in 2:27. Jason Oswalt broke 70 minutes in the half marathon for the first time. Blake Jones clocked an impressive 2:32 Boston Marathon.

CRC sends multiple athletes to the Heart Mini Marathon 15k in Cincy
It was a good sized carpool for a hilly and somewhat wet run in Cincinnati and the annual 15k.  It's a basic course but a fun one. The CRC men had a great showing with Levi Fox crossing the line in 1st in 48:45. Brent Martin was 3rd, Dustin Whitehair 5th, Mike Sawicki 7th, and Matt DeLeon 11th. For the ladies, Jamie Sims led the way to finish 12th.

CRC opens the 2010 racing season at the Otterbein Indoor Meet
A handful of the men ran the 5k, while a couple women competed in the 3k. Eric Putnam led the way in the 5k with a 15:05. All in all six CRC men were under 16 minutes for the event. Paige Biglin was 1st in the 3k with a 10:30, while Jess Holder won the 5k in 18:52.

Josh Ordway blisters a 2:16 to qualify for the Olympic Trials!
The rigors of medical school won't slow him down! At the Houston Marathon Josh was the 2nd American overall and ninth overall in a tough field. His 2:16:54 assures him a spot at the next U.S. Olympic Trials along with his wife, Becki, who qualified for the women.
