The year of 2009 - At least what we can remember of
it!
It seems the more we race the less time we have to
update the site. However there was lots of great racing by CRC store
team members in 2009. Below is a glimpse back at some of the highlights.
CRC Men and Women lace the spikes over bluegrass at
the U.S. Club XC Championships
CRC was able to field a couple men's teams and a
women's team as the competition was held down in
Lexington this year. With 42 teams in the men's race,
Columbus Running Co. 'A' squad finished in 13th place to
edge out New Balance Boston. Our 'B' squad managed a
respectable 32nd finish. Josh Ordway, Levi Fox, Brandon
Bauer, Eric Putnam, and Eric Hamner led the way for the
men. For the ladies, Jessica Holder led the way for the
bold CRC, who finished in 30th place. In the men's
masters side, CRC legend Tom Goldsby returned to finish
18th, to pace a squad of 4 we had competing. Lastly, for
the first time CRC had a complete 50-59 Masters Women's
team, who finished in 5th place of 6 squads. Compete

Columbus
10k!
A CRC favorite. In the team competition, the women's
squad was victorious while the men finished second. Eric
Hamner led the way for CRC with a 32:34. Amanda Stickel
was the first CRC woman to cross the line in 38:30,
which was 4th overall for the women. |
Jim Jurcevich returns to the marathon arena, finished second
in Pittsburgh.
A great race by Jim as he was only three seconds off the
winner at the finish line. It was neck and neck the entire way,
with Jim and the eventual winner trading leads from time to
time. Like all great marathons, they got him a six foot wide
check that he has yet been able to cash. |
