The
almighty team CRC Men battles hard but stumble for the first
time ever to the Earth Drummers in Cincy, CRC women run well to
earn second
The challenge was on, to team CRC rolled
down to the Hyde Park Blast to take on a list of other teams
from around the country. The women's team of three finished well
- Krista, Liz, and Becki - placing 2nd overall behind team
RunOhio. The men's team gave it their all but was outpaced for
the first time in team history to the Earth Drummers. Crossing
the line first for the CRC was Eric 'crazy shorts' Putnam,
followed by a mending Josh Ordway, followed by an ever stronger
force on the team, Mike Sawicki. DeLeon and Whitehair rounded
out the rest of the team. We all await anxiously for the next
meeting between our new southerly foes. |

Team
CRC goes big at Columbus 10k, edges team Earth Drummers from
Cincinnati
On a hot and humid day team CRC held strong
despite some injuries and tired legs from spring racing. With
fellow Ohio team Earth Drummers making the trip for some
friendly competition, CRC did not want to disappoint. Scoring
five men, the Earth Drummers took the top two spots, however CRC
took the next five. DeLeon led the way for CRC with an overall
9th place finish. He was followed by Ordway, Jurcevich,
Whitehair, Ritz, and Hamner. On the ladies side, Becki, Liz,
Sharon, and Christine finished fourth, fifth, sixth, and eighth
overall respectively. The next team event is Hyde Park, for a
rematch with the Earth Drummers in their backyard! |

Josh Ordway goes big again, this time at the
USA Half Marathon Championships
Due to his victory at the 2007 Dayton Half
Marathon, Josh was given a stipend by USATF Ohio to make the
trip to Houston for the USA Half Marathon champs. Josh never
turns down a race. After running the USA trails and USATF XC
Champs just a few weeks earlier, Josh turned in a tough 24th
place finish in 1:06:51. In Ohio news, fellow Ohioan Chris Reis
had a breakout race, finishing in 1:04:39. Look for some good
races between the two in the future. Well done, Josh! |
