Rock Band Challenge!
Here is how it works.
For the Half Marathoners: Check out the line up
of bands we have below. Rock out to each band as you pass by on
the streets of Columbus. Come here after the race and vote for
your favorite band to be on the fast track to fame and fortune!
For the Bands: Contact the Columbus Running
Company here or via phone. We'll need a logo and a brief
description of the band for this website. Include why your band
will best the rest. We'll set you up along the course with some
electricity, and you do your thing. Voting will run for 48 hours
after the race. The winning band will have a three song set
of original music played on CD101's front stage feature. We will
also highlight your band on this website until next years
contest, and offer to sell your music in our stores for the rest
of 2008, and put it on our in store soundtrack. Runners and
walkers are a loyal bunch, and you'll forever be known as the
band that conquered the contest. All bands must be local.

AMERICAN BAND
The Great American Band’s sound is based on vocal
harmonies, slide guitar and piano, with the guitars
trying to let it come through that way. We can also step
it up, from time to time.....
