It’s that time of year when we all fire up the
bar-b-que, soak up some sun, and hop into our favorite summer races. At
the CRC, we’ve got quite a bit on tap for this summer. Our one year
anniversary is coming up, and we plan to put on the best one year
birthday party ever! We hope to see you at our Mile Dash, Anniversary
Bash on July 9th (details inside) where you can win two free tickets to
Arizona or Chicago to take part in the Arizona Distance Classic or the
Chicago Distance Classic, for free,

This is the birthday party of the summer. We’ll kick things off with a one mile road race followed by free massage (compliments of our neighbors at The Retreat) and one free beer for all of those of age (compliments of Buffalo Wild Wings). Entertainment from two bands will provide the backdrop for the race’s after-party as we raffle off prizes including a free trip for two and entry into any John Bingham race in the US. That’s right - our friends at John Bingham Racing are offering airfare and entry for two random winners to go to the Arizona Distance Classic, the Chicago Distance Classic, or the Columbus Distance Classic! Pre-registration for the mile is open until 7/3/05 and costs only $10. Late registration and race-day registration are $12, and kids ten and under race for free. The Mile Dash begins one mile away from the CRC on Liggett Road near the intersection of Liggett and Post Road, and the course leads you directly back to the CRC’s shopping center. We encourage everyone to show up early to either take a warm-up run or walk out to the starting line from the store. There will also be a shuttle available from the store to the start for those arriving early. CRC and the Dublin Rec
Center
The Dublin Rec. Center and the CRC have joined together to host a weekly running clinic and group at the Dublin Rec. Center. Every Thursday at 6pm, the group will meet inside the entrance to the center for a group run. The run on the first Thursday of each month will be preceded by a running clinic similar to the Running 101 clinic that we host on the first Monday of every month in the CRC. If you can’t make it to group run from the store on Wednesday at 6pm or Saturday at 8am, we’re now offering the Dublin Rec. Center run every Thursday at 6pm. Hope to see you on the trails! *** What can we do to better serve the running and walking community? This is the question that we ask ourselves every day. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and your feedback is invaluable to us. Those of you in Dublin may have noticed that we now put water coolers and cups out on the trails every Saturday - this came after a suggestion from a thirsty runner struggling home from a run. Little things mean a lot, and we hope that you all enjoy this service. Let us know what else we can do to strengthen and improve the local running and walking community! We take your suggestions seriously, and we aim to be the most dedicated running and walking store. *** Chart your mileage on our free online running journal: ***
