Mike is the latest tall guy and
third Mike to join CRC, after moving to Cbus with his
wife, Jennie. Together they live in German Village and
shop at that Kroger's there on Front St. He is a
workhorse, putting in big miles. He should fit in just
fine.
Best running moment: Being
bitten by a potentially rabid mountain dog at mile 17 in
the 2006 Hatfield-McCoy marathon. Underwent rabies
treatments, and now I have this twitch that won’t go
away.
My real best running moment: Placing 3rd
in the 2007 Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh North
Carolina. Ran 2 miles, ate 12 donuts, and ran 2 miles
back in 28:14.
Stuck in a rut in Columbus: I have run three 5K
races since moving here. (Glacier Ridge in June, Pigfest
in July, and Sweetcorn Festival in September) All three
were in 15:56. Is there something wrong with me?
That’s hard to do even if I was trying.
Life goal: To be able to keep up with Jim in the
2008 White Castle Challenge.
An actual goal: Better my current 2:29 P.R. in the
marathon and join some of my teammates in an Olympic
marathon trials.
