February and March
2008 Tat of
the Month
Joshua Estep - Energetic Wisconsin
Student, WI

Joshua came to us a few months ago and
reminded us why we have not only a running store, but a tattoo contest
as well.
"Thanks for putting the photos up on the site, they were the
inspiration to get the one on my calf," Josh gladly proclaimed in his
email. Yes, while Joshua and the CRC share a love for running, CRC can
take claim of a small piece behind Joshua's latest tattoo.
Joshua began running in sixth grade and hasn't looked back yet. His
first tattoo was made permanent during the winter break of his freshman
year in college, and features the Kanji symbol for 'Run' in the middle
of his right arm. That one will be February's winner.
Now a Junior in college, he has since ran three marathons and six
triathlons, along with a few million road races. He is eyeing three more
marathons, a half ironman triathlon, Triathlon nationals in Alabama, and
his first ultra by this October.
His love for running shows even more on his calf, where a picture
of a running figure is surrounded by the words 'Why do I run?' and 'Why
do I breathe?'. We understand that answering a question with a question
can many times be the best way to explain an answer. The simplicity of
it all will leave a lasting impression as March's tattoo contest
champion.
"We'd all love to see more running tattoos!" Joshua wrote as he
finished up his winning submission email. We agree, Joshua, not because
we think everyone should have tattoo's, but because it's a great way to
show how much running can mean to you!
Congrats to Joshua on earning some fine CRC
merchandise.
