The CRC Spring Training program kicks off every year in January, and will gear you up for any spring half or full marathon. You'll receive an personalized, individual plan from our experienced coaches based on your background and needs. The plan is tailored around weekend long runs with the group- so you'll find others with similar goals. Perhaps best of all is we don't make the program expensive- participation is our bottom line. The training program includes: - A training program designed for you, whether you are a walker, run/walker, or runner of any ability. The training schedules are personalized, as attention to the individual's goals and background is of highest priority. The CRC is not an advocate of one-size fits all generic group training plans, therefore each program is tailored specifically to each person on a day-to-day basis. - Kick-off party, Tue. Jan 20th at 6:30pm (Dublin), Wed. Jan 21st at 6:30pm (Pickerington), and Thurs. Jan 22nd at 6:30pm (Westerville). First group run will be Sat. January 24th (Dublin/Pickerington) or 25th (Westerville). Come hungry on Wed. or Thurs. and energetic on the weekend. If you are new to the CRC, we will use the kick off party as an opportunity to set some individual goals and learn more of your background. This is important as we structure each individual's plan differently. If you are training for Boston or an April marathon, let us know- ideally we'd like to start your plan earlier in the month. - Free gear. We've done shirts, hats, jackets, etc. in the past. The '09 gear will be decided upon soon... - Clinics led by CRC coaches and other experts in their fields - such as nutrition. Topics cover cross training, nutrition, mental preparation, shoes and apparel, and individual race day strategy- including video footage and course run down. Due to the volume and time of the clinics, we no longer are having them on Saturday with the 'long run', but will schedule them during the week. - 10% off everything in the store during the program. - Weekly email with advice and any items you may have missed the previous week.
- On-course meeting point on the day of the Cap. City races. Other Points of Interest - Cost of the program is $65 for new timers or $40 for alumni, and that does not include entry into the event. Want to see some of the people from the fall group? One of our participants put together this great photo show from the CRC waterstop and finish line of the '08 Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon.
