OCTOBER RUNNING TAT OF THE MONTH JAMES MARKS
Strike one up for the Canadians. James was born in the land up north just outside of Toronto and is proud of his heritage. Rumor has it that at Denison, our tattooed Canadian hero would belt out Celine Dion songs on team long runs. Over time, the team expressed interest in him showing his Maple Leaf pride in a more suitable manner. A few Labatt Blue's later, the young James was at the tat parlor becoming a man. Placed on the outside of his right thigh, the red maple leaf and running figure's presence can be seen on race day just below the Denison "Big Red" uniform - letting competitors know it's all business from the big country. More great things that come from Canada include, but
aren't limited to,
maple syrup, Mike
Myers,
Wolverine from the X-Men,
Kevin
Sullivan, Bryan Adams*,
Terrence and Phillip, Gretzky,
hockey, and
Vancouver. Congrats to James on earning a $15 gift certificate to the CRC and to Evolved. Do you want to be the running tat of the month? Send us a picture at info@columbusrunning.com or stop by the store. Please let us know why, how, and when you got the tattoo... Tat of the Month Archive |
