MAY RUNNING TAT OF THE MONTH

The winged foot. For some it's a symbol of a sport. For others it's a symbol of freedom. Perhaps for those who have run for their entire life, it could represent an ability to escape the confines of everyday life through their feet. For whatever reason Genevieve got the tattoo, it has earned her May 2007 tat of the month honors. Here is the email we received from her:

I just got this tattoo yesterday. I ran cross country in high school
and college, and I have run 2 marathons, 1 triathlon, and countless
5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathons. I wanted the winged foot for about 5 years
now, and the pink wings fit my personality well. I actually didn't
want the foot shaded in, but it's growing on me. I got it done in San
Francisco, and I'm doing Bay to Breakers (a 12k fun run)  tomorrow.
The tattoo artist told me that wasn't the best idea, but a runner has
to run.

That's right, a runner's got to run. We understand. Good work on getting that tattoo. Good work on running in high school, college, multiple races, and more. Wherever your winged feet take you, we wish you the best of luck....
