DECEMBER RUNNING TAT OF THE MONTH Eric Hamner,
You may have heard of this man via his fame through the Columbus Running Company store team. Now he's attempting to double up on his new found celebrity status by winning the December Tat of the Month honors. Eric's a down-to-earth country fella who does things by the book. We'll see how he handles the fame, pretty soon the paparazzi will be taking photographs of him sunbathing topless in his backyard from a half mile away. Eric Hamner's December championship tat described verbatim: I figured I would tell you the
story of my tattoo since you now have the picture. Now my story isn't as
cool as Mike's but here goes. My senior year of high school I receive a
winged foot charm and necklace from my sister, Amy. I have always worn
it since. When I went to college, like most I had the desire to get a
tattoo. I wanted something that I would never regret and since running
is such a huge part of my life, it had to be involved. I wanted to be
unique but under other runners comprehension so I thought I would,
instead of getting winged feet I would put wings of my own feet. This
was my sophomore year and I thought that to have wings on your feet you
have to be pretty fast. So, I set goals for myself in a few events and
once I reached those I could get the tats. I did tell my teammates at
Tiffin and they liked the idea and wanted to get a team Tattoo. So we
all went on that tattoo Tuesday, after Todd Casey had drawn the wings.
We all got them on both ankles (some on the outside and some on the
inside). I chose Black and gold because they were both involved in my
uniforms at Tiffin and Watkins Memorial. Congrats to Eric on earning a $15 gift certificate to the CRC and to Evolved. Do you want to be the running tat of the month? Send us a picture at info@columbusrunning.com or stop by the store. Please let us know why, how, and when you got the tattoo... Tat of the Month Archive |
