November 2008 Tat of the Month

Duane Nickerson - Persuaded Dad, Montgomery, AL

Like daughter like father. At least that's how it goes in this case. Only the tightest of families bond over ink and needle. Here is Duane's Tattoo reasoning.

"I'm a runner in Montgomery Alabama and a member of the local RRCA running club here , River Region Runners.  My daughter has been bugging me to get a tattoo for years. She has several, which I like very much. This Thanksgiving I was with her and her family in Baton Rouge, LA, and were doing a local 5K, the  Turkey Trot in Baton Rouge. I finally gave in and said that I think it would be neat to get a little roadrunner on my ankle.   The next day she had me at the tattoo shop getting it done, attached is the picture of the result, which I'm submitting for your running tattoo of the month.

P.S. When we got back and I showed it to my four year old granddaughter, she said it looked like a chicken."

Chicken? She has a lot to learn about running tattoos.
