SEPTEMBER RUNNING TAT OF THE MONTH

Brian Webb sent us his tattoos all the way from the Minneapolis, where he coaches the mighty Hopkins cross and track teams, high school state title contenders on both the boys and girls side. He can be a man of few words, but the body art speaks for itself. Ask him about them, and if you're lucky he'll open up. He did for us. The owners here at CRC have known Brian for some time now, and see him as a man whose qualities of stature, principal, and quiet wisdom combine to create the ultimate coolness denomination, 'bwebb' cool. 'Bwebb' cool is the ultimate high on the coolness scale, and while we have met people that have almost been 'bwebb' cool, it will likely be that nobody will ever match that level.
Below in red is Brian's own description, about his tats, via an email he sent to us. The manuscript has not been altered in any way.

Tat #1, Michelle the Tiger.
Located in the upper center of the back, it stretches from above one clavicle to the other.

Story behing "My Michelle"

Being DePauw's mascot, some of my teammates and I
wanted to get Tiger tattoos.  It began with four of us
back in 98-99.  Now there are at least 7 former DPU
runners with Tiger tattoos.  Mine is unique in that it
is not like the others.  I named it because it's mine.

Tat #2, Junior.
Located on the inside of the right leg, it reaches nearly the entire way around the leg, and a considerable distance up into the calf and down towards the ankle.

Story behind "Junior"

The leg tattoo is a Navajo symbol for the sun.  To
make a long story short, it's my statement that
regardless of race, class, hometown, etc. we are all
in this together, living under the same sun.  Might as
well make the most of it.
