Paying it Forward
The Dublin City Schools Alumni Association serves as a unifying force in the Dublin community and provides alumni with a point of contact for activities. The Association is also a funding source for the Dublin Education Foundation which funds grants for programs that impact students at every level in the district. The Alumni Association is hosting this year's 5K to honor the Rozanskis, a Dublin family.
This year’s race proceeds will go towards both the Dublin Education Foundation and The Nick Rozanski Memorial Foundation, an education fund. Capt. Rozanski is a Dublin Coffman graduate who was killed in action in 2012, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
On Saturday October 12, the 5K run/walk starts at 9:00 am, while the quarter mile kids run/walk starts at 8:45 am.
Packet pickup for pre-registered participants will be at Columbus Running Company's Dublin location on Thursday October 10th from 10am - 8pm, and Friday October 11th from 10am - 6pm.
The first 300 registered runners for the 5K will receive an event shirt and a cinch-sack goodie bag.
The Dublin 5k will honor its runners with over 20 awards and prizes. Our top 3 males and females will receive medals along with $100 gift cards to The Bogey, $60 gift cards to The Anderson's and a free massage from The Woodhouse Day Spa to name a few. Menchies has also donated gift cards for the top male and female runner in their respective age category. For our kids Fun Run, the first place boy and girl will receive a medal and gift card.
A loop course in the north end of Dublin's Glacier Ridge Metro Park, this flat route is a great early autumn tour of a fabulous local park.
